Meet Our Founder: Angie Callen
Hi, I’m Angie—engineer turned author, career coach, entrepreneur, and the human behind Career Benders.
Like many of our clients, I started on a traditional path. I earned an engineering degree from Carnegie Mellon, moved into executive leadership roles, and followed the rules I thought I was supposed to.
But over time, I realized that path wasn’t designed for me—and more importantly, it wasn’t helping me live a full, satisfying life.
So, I changed direction.
I launched Career Benders in 2018 with a laptop, a clear purpose, and a big goal: to help others escape mediocrity and find a more integrated way to live and work.
Since then, I’ve helped thousands of professionals — from new grads to C-suite executives — tell their story, own their strengths, and build a career that works for them.
Along the way, I’ve become a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) through the International Coaching Federation, created my own coaching credential, the Master Job Search Coach, and gained some more alphabet soup via Certified Professional Career Coach (CPCC), Certified Executive Resume Writer (CERW), and Certified Resume Writer (CPRW) credentials thanks to the Professional Association of Resume Writers and Career Coaches (PARWCC).
That’s a lot of letters, but in a nutshell, I’ll wrap it up with the thing I’m most proud of: developing a reputation for honest, human-centric guidance that gets results.

Based on that, we’ll pair you with the best-fit career coach or specialist from our team. And yes, sometimes that’s Angie. But even if it’s not, you’ll get strategic, human-first support from a certified career coach who’s been trained in our method.

Career Benders is based in Glenwood Springs, Colorado (Angie’s mountain-town HQ!), but we work with clients across the U.S. and internationally.
