Volume 76 – Cast Away Your Sunday Scaries

COMBATING THE SUNDAY SCARIES!
Don’t Let Your Monday Ruin your Sunday

1.  Read the Alchemist

This is one of my favorite reads. I’ve read it several times, but each time I pick it up, I find it’s always the right time to revisit the important message that we’re all meant for more, and it’s our job to find it.

Here’s a link to grab a copy – I recommend getting this one in an old-school paper.

2.  Now, listen to this week’s podcast!

One of the messages of the Alchemist is to pay attention to recurring themes (omens), and many of you have heard me say that many times.

So, it’s only fitting that this week’s podcast episode is all about finding your purpose, using it to serve others, and in turn, finding happiness and satisfaction for yourself!

Tune in via this link or wherever you get your podcasts!

3.  Get Outside (hey, there’s a recurring theme)!

While this message hits your inbox, I’ll be off in the backcountry with some girlfriends, hiking to a remote lake and catching some cutthroat trout (I hope)!

We all know how amazing it is to get away and disconnect, but time in nature is also proven to help relieve stress and anxiety; boost our immune system, creativity, and focus; and teach us to live more in the present.

Today’s cover picture is for inspiration – my last visit to the lake we’re venturing to today! 🙌

4.  Move Some Furniture Around

I hung out with my neighbor yesterday and helped her rearrange her living/dining room into a more functional, open, and family-friendly space. Not only did we have a ton of fun together – we have been blessed with incredible neighbors (friends!), we also gave her mood a boost.

Did you know that moving your furniture around can actually make you feel better? According to Psychology Today, rearranging a room can elevate your mood, instilling satisfaction, effectiveness, creativity and comfort.

What can you spruce up or clean out today?

5.  It’s Farmers’ Market Season!

The bounty is rolling in, and what better way to spend an evening than perusing locally grown produce and artisan crafted goods made by local hands?

I love the feel and community of a farmer’s market, so find one near you and support a local farmer. I know the produce is ripe for the picking because we’ve pulled two huge zucchini and a summer squash out of our back yard garden this past week, along with tons of lettuce, radishes, and swiss chard – with so much more to come!

6.  Speaking of Community…

Find a new one and join it!

Whether it’s an in-person networking group or a virtual meet-up, find a crew who is like-minded or has common goals and join them.

This will be my first week participating in a special LinkedIn focus group organized by one of my peers who provides an in-depth look at LinkedIn trends and algorithm changes to make sure we’re up to speed on all the latest changes.

I may even have some useful tidbits to bring back to you!

7.  Be a Good Friend

Who could you help, nurture, or support this week?

Find them. Feed them. Fuel them. It’ll be good for your soul and their future. <3

Have a great week!

Your Friend and Coach,

Angie
